This policy aims to inform you about our practices regarding the collection, use and sharing of the information you may provide to us through our website (hereinafter the “Website”).

This policy (together with our general terms and conditions of sale and any document referred to in it, as well as our cookie policy) sets out how we process the personal data that we collect and that you provide to us. 1. What personal data do we collect?

Your personal information (hereinafter “personal data”) is data that allows you to be identified either directly (data such as your surname and first name allow you to be identified immediately) or indirectly (data such as your postcode, telephone number or contract number allow you to be identified indirectly).

2. When do we collect your personal data and for what purpose?

2.1. When you submit a contact request via our Website

When you submit a contact request via our Website, we ask for your surname, first name, company name, email address and telephone number.

We use this information to respond to your enquiry, including providing you with any information requested about our products and services. We may also contact you several times after your contact request to follow up on your enquiry. We do so on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing accurate information before and after a sale, an enquiry or a contact request.

We keep contact request emails for a period of two (2) years, after which they are permanently deleted.

2.2. When you sign up to receive our newsletter

When you sign up to receive our newsletter, we ask for your name and email address.

By signing up to our newsletter, you give us your consent to receive information about our products and services and other information that we think may interest you.

You may withdraw your consent at any time and we will stop sending you our newsletter.

Your information is kept for as long as you continue to consent to receiving our newsletter.

2.3. When you browse our Website

When you visit our Website, server logs are stored. Storing these logs is lawful provided that users are properly informed that the logging system is in place and that the data kept is used solely to ensure the security of the system and to detect anomalies.

3. To whom do we disclose your personal data?

Your personal data will not be passed on to third parties unless they are contractually bound to Ecostal Engineering or act at the request of, or as processors for, Ecostal Engineering. Their access is limited to the data they need to perform their task. Ecostal Engineering always requires its processors to apply the organisational and technical measures needed to protect personal data and to guarantee its strict confidentiality.

To operate the Website, we use the following services in particular: Cookiebot (Usercentrics), to collect your consent to cookies; Google, for audience measurement (Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager, with your consent) and video playback (YouTube); Cloudflare, to protect the website against bots; Mailchimp (Intuit), to send the newsletter; Microsoft, for our email.

4. Is your data transferred, and if so how and where?

As a general rule, we keep your personal data within the European Union. However, insofar as, for example, some of our service providers are located in countries outside the European Union (“Third Countries”), we transfer some of your personal data to Third Countries. This may in particular be the case for Third Countries for which the European Commission has not adopted an “adequacy decision”. In such cases, we ensure that the transfer is carried out in accordance with the applicable regulations and guarantees a sufficient level of protection of individuals’ privacy and fundamental rights, in particular through the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

You have a number of rights regarding your personal data and its processing. You have the following rights:

  • right of access;
  • right to rectification;
  • right to erasure (right to be forgotten);
  • right to restriction of processing;
  • right to data portability;
  • right to object, in particular to processing based on our legitimate interest;
  • right to withdraw your consent at any time, for processing based on consent (newsletter, statistics cookies).
